I read reviews about this host and it reminded me of my experience from 4 years ago. I had a bad time then due to the host's inadequacy. I wrote an honest review about it, hoping that the host would learn from it and improve. I even gave him a nice rating out of sympathy, but the host responded rudely. I knew that over time, the true nature of this host's poorly managed business would come to light. People see everything and I hope that the host is now living within their means, as they advise everyone else to do. Now, here is my honest rating, with no sympathy. It's a shame that you can't give a zero rating!

I was going to book a stay here for my trip, but after reading bad reviews about the workers and the owner, I changed my mind. I don't want anything to ruin my holiday.

This place is really terrible. The worst part is that the owner is a really unethical person. I definitely wouldn't suggest going there.

We visited from another city, two families on holiday. We booked 3 rooms in a 4-room house (the fourth room was a living room). The house was comfortable and clean, but that's where the good stuff ended. We got there late and wanted to have a coffee and a bite to eat with our kids before bed...and that's when the problems started. There were no dishes in the rooms and the kettle was in the living room. We had to go out late at night to buy disposable plates and cups from a store. There was a security camera in the hallway.

The owner called us straight away when they saw us in the hallway on the camera, and said it would cost 15 UAH per person per hour to be in the hallway. They also said we could use the dishes, but we would have to pay for them and we couldn't use them until the next day!!!! A plate cost 3 UAH, a skewer 2 UAH, and using the fireplace was 60 UAH plus 10 UAH to light it, and then 15 UAH per person per hour to sit by it.

We went to "Banya" as a group.

Good things: The steam room was really warm. Everyone liked it a lot!

Bad things:
1. It was really cold everywhere else.
2. It wasn't very clean, there was mold everywhere!
3. The place needs a lot of repairs.
4. They charged us 10 UAH to use the hair dryer.
5. They had a wood grill, but it was dark and there were no lights. They also charged 10grn for an extension cord.
6. The indoor pool was awful and dirty.
7. The outdoor pool was frozen solid. It was impossible to break the ice and nobody had bothered to prepare it.
8. The staff was very rude.

The place is alright. The owner is quite a character, and he's a businessman too. We paid 650 for a junior suite for a day, plus 50 for firewood. They gave us pine board pieces to burn, but they didn't catch fire. When I asked for help to light it or for some wood chips, they said it would cost 10 UAH. After some arguing, they gave us oak wood and lit it for free! Skewers cost 2 UAH each. It was really cold outside in the evening. When we made kebabs, we decided to eat inside. The only place to eat, other than outside, was on the first floor of the hotel. After two hours, I got a text saying that renting the hall costs 20 UAH per hour.

Only people from Malorussia who support OPZZh and Zebil would like a bathhouse with this name. But it's not surprising, because that's what most people in Poltava are like.

When I book a table at a restaurant, they don't ask me to clean up. But here, they give you a cloth and expect you to clean the table you're paying for every hour. The service is really bad.

Answer

When you hire a gazebo, it comes with chairs, tables, and white tablecloths. Polite people usually clean up their rubbish and put it in bags. If not, it's not nice. It's hard to think of what else could be different in the pool area. If you don't like this, maybe you should have your event somewhere else, but even there, they probably won't like you leaving a mess.

I have mixed feelings. Everything seems nice at first, but the good stuff stops there. You have to pay for everything, like playing volleyball by the pool or renting stuff to make a fire. They will scold you for sitting on a chair with wet clothes or playing ball in the area. The worst part was when the owner said only girls could use the bathroom inside the building. It's up to you to decide...

Answer

You should only spend what you can afford. When you rent a playground, you're only paying for the space, not any extra services. Every park or playground has its own rules. For example, you're not supposed to play volleyball around the rose bushes or other decorative plants. Don't act like you can just come in, mess things up, and then leave. You need to follow the rules and respect the place.

I've stayed here multiple times and it's always been excellent. The sauna is perfect and follows tradition. We had a party on the premises and everyone was polite and behaved well. There was one person who seemed a bit drunk or odd, but a staff member talked to them and it solved the problem. I would definitely recommend this place!

Want to experience the past? Miss the gruffness of old Soviet shopkeepers? This is the place for you. You can't put into words how rude the staff are, always acting superior and controlling. They're always telling you where to go and what to do, even making remarks to kids on holiday. Overall, don't miss out on this chance to experience old Soviet-style service, at a cost!

I really wouldn't suggest going to this place! The owner, Vyacheslav Yurievich, is a cheat and can't be trusted. I reserved a pavilion for the weekend, said we'd be 5-6 people, and paid a deposit of 300 UAH for six people. But when my friends showed up a bit early, they were shocked. Instead of a pavilion, there was just a small table with four chairs, and another group was seated just a meter away from us! This happened even though there was a quarantine in place.
We were also told over the phone that we'd have a grill of our own in the pavilion, but nothing like that was there when we arrived (I was dodged twice on this issue when I called, which seemed fishy). It seems like the owner was just trying to swindle us out of our money.

The place has mold, fungus, and broken glass. The water temperature is hard to control, only reaching 65 degrees compared to the usual 90-110 in the bath. In general, it's not good at all. Visiting here in 2021 would only be worth it if you're paying 250 UAH per hour and even then, the place is still pretty bad. I definitely don't recommend it!

Everything is done properly. The place is nice, peaceful, and pretty, with a small pond nearby. The only issue is that the sauna might not be heated enough - you might have to remind the sauna attendant about it because they can be careless at times.
