Country Hotel Complex "Carnaval Resort & Spa" №651

The place is in a nice spot. The people working there are nice. The room is newly fixed up. I wish the bathroom floor was heated, and I wanted one big blanket instead of two small ones for the double bed. The pillows were too big for me. But overall, we liked our trip. There are places to go for a walk and get tasty food. The breakfast was good.

We took a holiday at Carnival from January 2 to January 4 with two families. We specifically chose this place because they had a heated pool. But, the pool was cold and the kids didn't enjoy it. We complained, and they warmed up the pool, but it didn't really fix the problem. On the bright side, we stayed in a new suite that had new renovations, new furniture, and plumbing. The heating was on a lot, so it got really hot at night. We ate at the new restaurant Hutor, where the food was great but it took a long time to get served. So, order your food early or you might get it late. Overall, we had a good holiday.

We visit this place occasionally. We like the hotel's location, its big beautiful grounds, bowling alley, spa, pools, and its closeness to the river. The reception staff is nice, particularly Anna and Ludmila. Over the past two years, they've upgraded the place with paving, benches and a poolside cafe. We've enjoyed some good events near the restaurant during summer.

However, the restaurant is a constant issue. It's been somewhat updated and is now open regularly, which wasn't the case before. But the menu is odd, and the prices are high for the quality of food. Once, they served us a soup made from a single type of undercooked, tough sausage! Another time, we received half-cooked meatballs which they replaced after an apology, but it took an hour. Clearly, there's an issue with the chef!

The place is pretty big and clean, with plenty of room to walk around. They have a kids' room where you can keep your child entertained if it's raining. Though, it's a bit rough around the edges. We stayed in a log cabin which was cozy and had a nice wood smell. However, the furniture is old and really needs to be replaced. Also, one of the bathrobes was new but the other one was ripped.

There's a restaurant on site called Hutor. We really enjoyed it when we visited in the spring, but it seems to have gone downhill since then. We ordered the same meals as before, but the portion sizes have significantly decreased. That was a bit disappointing.

The reception staff are really friendly. Breakfast is included in the price and it's a buffet. There's a wide selection of homemade food and you can eat as much as you like. We're planning to come back for another weekend visit.

We liked the Hutor restaurant. It's bright, welcoming, and comfortable. They serve tasty borscht that looks great. They also have unique seasonal dishes and yummy coffee. The waitress was nice. But, we didn't enjoy the spa. It was cold, not nice and didn't have a good vibe. The hamam and massage room weren't nice either. The massage wasn't good or relaxing. But the workers were nice.

I've been wanting to go to this place for a while and finally went with my friends. I was upset with almost everything. Here's a list:

1. The place is naturally beautiful, but it's not well-kept. Everything is falling apart and it's really dirty. There's trash in bags lying around the houses. Local cats sometimes scatter these bags when they're looking for food. No one seems to be cleaning up the place.

2. The house itself is another story. As soon as we walked in, we saw dirty plates on the porch (probably left by the people who stayed before us). Inside, there was a lot of dust on everything. We had to start our vacation by cleaning the tables. The furniture inside is really old and worn out.

We drove 530km to this great place only to find out the pool was closed. My kid really wanted to swim, that's why we came. I don't get why they have a website if it doesn't give accurate information. I followed their link, looked at all the pictures and even called to book a room. They should have mentioned that the pool was closed. When we got there, I paid for two days. A few minutes later, I asked about the pool and found out it was closed. I asked for a refund for one day because we wouldn't be staying for two days without a pool. They said they couldn't refund me because the place was 50% booked due to the holidays.
At least we were close to Kharkiv. We found other ways to entertain the kid. We stayed from October 15 to 17.

Everything is cool. But the rooms are small.

The holiday was good in general. There was a lot of space, two swimming pools, and a restaurant with tasty food. There was also a bar where you could get drinks and dance. There were many fun things to do, some were free, others you had to pay for.

After they fixed it up, it's like a whole new place! Really pretty and the food is great! Good job, keep it up!

I thought it was pretty good. The place was tidy and the kitchen was really nice. The downside was that the rooms and buildings seemed quite old, even though they were clean. The outdoor pool was also smaller than I would have liked.

Good spot! We were happy. The houses block out noise well. The area is big and lovely. The only bit we weren't too keen on was the breakfast room - it's too small for the amount of people who use it. Apart from that, we were pleased with everything!

We were fortunate with the weather and had an awesome holiday. The pools were superb, perfect for the hot weather. The place is spacious, plenty of room for everyone. The cheesecakes served at breakfast were delicious. We loved every dish we ordered from the Hutor restaurant. However, the houses need some renovation. They should be updated to match the pricing.

We went there for New Year's and it was awful. We meant to have a buffet meal but there wasn't enough food. The staff ignored us and even swore in front of the children. The pool was closed and it was cold, and they were stingy with the food at the buffet - we had to practically beg for it. We left on the first day, even though it cost us 10,000grn.

It's not too bad in the summer though. The only problem is that the outdoor pool is quite small and there's no children's pool. The grounds are big and pretty, with juniper trees. Overall, it's okay, but there are better places to go.

The holiday was good overall. There were a lot of positives like a big area, two swimming pools, and a restaurant that served yummy food. There was a bar that had drinks and a place to dance. There were a lot of fun things to do, some were free and some cost money. The morning buffet was delicious and filling. The only negatives were that the TV in the room was old and the open pool was small and got too crowded on weekends, so it's best to get there early. The staff was always cleaning up from morning till night.

We visited on the 26th of August, two adults and a child who is just over a year old. The pool for children was too cold, so we went to the adult pool. The area around the pool had a wooden floor, and in the morning, there were a lot of rusty screws sticking out. One of these screws punctured my leg. Luckily, it wasn't the kid who got hurt. When we told the reception about this, they just looked surprised, said sorry and did nothing else. They didn't offer any compensation or payment for a tetanus test. They also didn't refund the 400 UAH entrance fee. We only stayed for 15 minutes because of the issue. That's the kind of service they provided.

I didn't really enjoy it. The pools are supposed to be heated but they're still cold. The pool outside is tiny and you're not allowed to bring your own food or drinks, you have to buy from the poolside restaurant. The staff were really rude, it felt like they were doing us a favor even though we were paying 2000grn per day. The place isn't very well-kept. The rooms and breakfast are okay, but by 9:20 some items are already gone. There's often no tea or coffee available. Overall, it's just okay. But I don't want to go back.

The place isn't kept clean. The picture was taken in August. The security guards watch out for people who bring their own food and drinks. The tea and coffee at the buffet aren't good.

This holiday place doesn't seem to care about coronavirus and doesn't enforce mask-wearing or safety measures. They don't tell you that you can't bring your own alcohol, but then they get upset if you do. The dining area is too small for the number of people, so there's not enough space for everyone. The rooms are not very clean, but they're livable, but not worth the price they charge. The swimming pools are small and not heated. I'd rate this vacation 2 out of 10. Thanks.

The rooms at the place are a mix of modern and old-fashioned. The breakfast is served as a buffet and it's really tasty and filling.

Hey management, please clean up the rooms! The room design doesn't match the price at all. The carpets are dirty, there's black mold in the bathroom, and the faucet is rusty. The socket is falling off the wall and the air conditioner makes a loud noise like it's about to break. The last guests left an empty bottle in the closet that wasn't cleaned up. The pool is too small, there aren't enough sunbeds, and most guests just lie on the grass around the pool. The music isn't great and it's played too loud. Checking in at 3pm is too late. The only good thing is the beautiful nature around the hotel, but that's not because of the hotel.

We enjoy this place, though it's not our first visit. The food is tasty, especially the buffet. The rooms are very clean, but they could use a towel rack. There's no place to hang your towels after using the pool. Speaking of the pool, it's outdoors and it's too small for the number of guests.

The only good things about this place are the big area and the okay-ish houses. That's it!

The restaurant service is super slow. It takes forever, like an hour, to get your food and almost half an hour just for drinks. Checking in is a total mess - you can only check in from 3 PM and they need all sorts of paperwork and signatures. When you leave, if you're in a group and the house is for 5 people, everyone has to leave together. They won't let just two people leave early in the morning. You have to wait until the cleaner has checked everything before they give you a ticket to leave.

The outside pool is too small. There are only about 30 sunbeds, which is ridiculous for such a big place. I don't know how everyone is supposed to fit. The security guy kept coming over and telling us not to splash or jump in the pool.

I'm really disappointed. The price and quality don't match at all. This was my last time visiting. I remember going to Carnival 3 years ago, and how the hotel felt when it was new, during its first few years of operation. Now, I have mixed feelings about the hotel. On one hand, it seems like it was well built, but on the other hand, it feels like it's been neglected and not maintained.

We rented a cabin, which was one of the pricier options (~$150 per night), but to grill the meat we brought ourselves, we were told we had to rent a gazebo on the other side of the resort. Just 3 years ago, a barbecue was included with the more expensive cabins.

The pools are great and the food is yummy. I want to say a big thank you to the waitress Alena. She was really nice and friendly when she served us at the Hutor restaurant on the night of August 12, 2021. Good job! Just one thing - you can only play bowling and billiards on weekends. I don't know why. But overall, it was a fun holiday.

We planned a company party at this leisure center. Overall, it was okay: there was a lot of space, it was surrounded by a forest, had two pools, a volleyball court, a few restaurants, and nice cabin rooms. But there are some problems that make us not want to come back.

1) The ground is very uneven. We had a baby stroller and got a cabin room. Nobody told us it would be hard to reach the room with a stroller.

2) The reception desk service. It's a whole other issue about how the staff there don't seem to want to work and are not friendly or helpful. In my opinion, the reception desk represents the hotel/leisure center and should make you want to come back.

Your place is nice! But, it would be great if there were more fun activities for kids, like a kid's disco. Lots of people bring their kids here! We visited the Kids Club, but it was empty.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Sure, the surrounding nature is beautiful with dense forests, a river, and hills. The greenery during summer is simply stunning. However, this has nothing to do with the management of the place. The area is quite big, featuring two swimming pools and a volleyball field. Also, there are other recreational centers, stores, and Kozachya Mountain within walking distance.

On the downside, the receptionists are always on edge. Even a simple question can trigger an unexpected bout of irritation. They seem to forget that they are in the service industry, where customer service skills are essential.

We stayed at this complex during the summer. Our experience was mixed. Here's what we liked:
- It has a big, clean, and well-kept area.
- The house was mostly clean and had plenty of space.
- There's a cafe or bar on the site.
- Breakfast was good. The staff kept the tables clean and we had no issues.

What we didn't like:
- We asked for a cabin far from the noise. But they gave us a house near the pool and entertainment area. They eventually offered us another house. But after we moved in, they called us to say that someone else was supposed to stay there. So, we had to move back to the first house we were given.
- The pool wasn't great!

Really enjoyed it. The place was nice, service was good. It was clean and comfortable.

This is a nice spot for a holiday. It has a big, clean space, two swimming pools (one is inside), a place to eat, spots for grilling, and the people working there are nice.

This place is awful. We visited as a family of four. The rooms are really dirty. The surrounding area looks bad too (couldn't they at least freshen up the grass at the entrance?). The outdoor pool appears to have not been cleaned. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

This is a wonderful spot for families! A big shout out to the bartenders!

The rooms for two people are quite small. The cabins are okay. But if you're going to be out doing activities all day, it doesn't really matter. They have outdoor and indoor pools, a volleyball court, tennis, and bowling which we really enjoyed. We weren't too impressed with their conference services. The food was great - breakfast, lunch, and especially dinner. Thanks!

This is a nice spot to spend your weekend. The people working there are very kind.

We went on a holiday with a group and were disappointed with the service for the price we paid. The doors in our cabin didn't fit right and wouldn't close properly. There was also mold in the shower (see picture), and the air conditioning in our room started leaking on us in the middle of the night. The poolside bar service wasn't good either. We did like the restaurant Hutor, but they need to do something about the mosquito problem!

Great spot. It's the best vacation spot you can find in this area :)

Don't waste your money on this place.

Bad points:
- The cleaning staff take things like glasses and juices from your room,
- The food at the buffet is not good,
- The pool is too small,
- There is loud music playing from the pool, reception and restaurant. You can hear all three noises at once in the top level rooms. Instead of a peaceful nature vacation, you hear a mess of sounds.
- The front desk staff are not well-trained, rude and don't care.
- The booking department doesn't know what they're doing and don't give you all the information about the place.
- The most expensive rooms have mold in the bathroom and the air conditioner doesn't work.
- There's no internet in the top level rooms.

What happened:
I paid for a one week vacation with my husband and our 3-month-old baby.

The service is really poor! The loud music and noisy drunk people are disturbing at 3am. I couldn't sleep or relax. The music was the same for all five days of my stay. I don't recommend this place, especially if you have kids.

Everything is really terrible. The couch is damaged and looks like it's from a garbage dump, same with the chairs that are so small only a kid could sit on them. The room smells bad. It's not worth the money.

It's a calm and quiet spot. You can chill and unwind here. I really enjoyed it.

We got there at 11:30pm and our reservation was already cancelled. There was no food available and the staff seemed tired and didn't know basic information like breakfast time. We managed to check in and found clean towels in our room, but they were old and should've been replaced years ago. The room wasn't cleaned well and no one came to clean it the next day either. The outdoor pool was too crowded to use and there wasn't enough space indoors either. They didn't provide beach towels, so we had to bring our own. There were only two umbrellas near the outdoor pool and people were getting sunburnt. There weren't any tables near the pool chairs, so we had to put our drinks on the ground. The price was too high for the quality we received.

It was terrible! It ruined my weekend! The staff didn't know what they were doing. They put pins in the parking lot which damaged my car's protective cover. They promised us a gazebo but only gave us an umbrella! Our room was dirty when we checked in. The pool had glass and chips floating in it. They didn't even have coffee because their machine was broken. I'll never come back to this place run by amateurs.

Everything is really good and impressive. They should have a portable frog toy for kids because it won't be costly for such a place! The food is okay, the place is really big, overall, it's awesome!

We've visited this place a lot, but this time there were many improvements. The breakfast buffet was really nice. They've upgraded the sunbeds by the pool. A DJ plays music in the evenings on weekends in the space in front of the reception. You can lay on pillows and smoke hookah. The restaurant, Hutor, has a big menu and the food is pretty good. Now, you don't need to go to Drunken Hut for lunch or dinner. On weekends, they have live music. Some of the rooms have been updated with new furniture, but not all. The prices are still good. The staff is always friendly.

They treat customers well and the natural environment helps you escape from city noise and chill out.

The hotel is big and seems fancy but the staff are really bad. It feels like they're more worried about upsetting their bosses than helping guests. We travelled for 6 hours and arrived late at night. The woman at the front desk told us we couldn't check in because she was doing some sort of audit. She asked a lot of questions and was reluctant to give us our room key. This isn't a high-security place, it's supposed to be a place for guests to relax. The hotel needs to improve their customer service and fix up the rooms.

I enjoyed it, felt a bit worn out, but the morning meal was nice.

The service needs improvement. The air conditioner in the room leaks and the towel rack is broken. The shower leaks water onto the floor. The toilet is placed too close to the wall which makes it difficult to use. The breakfast is just okay. The grill area takes too long to serve orders. You have to request for appliances, they won't bring them to you on their own. However, the place is clean and beautiful.
